What is Tranquility Online?
Tranquility is an online platform that uses the gold standard approach to helping people with anxiety called Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Our platform is designed by experts and our service includes your very own coach to help you stay motivated and on track.
Tranquility guides you through educational modules and helpful activities that will allow you to learn more about your anxiety, how CBT works, and teach you how to change your anxious thoughts.
What is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a short-term, goal-oriented method proven by decades of clinical research to help people with their anxiety.
The “Cognitive” in CBT refers to your thoughts. CBT helps you reshape your negative thinking into more balanced thinking by helping you identify and challenge your automatic negative thoughts.
The “Behavioural” in CBT refers to how you are behaving, or how you choose to react to certain situations. CBT helps you gain the confidence you need to approach situations that make you anxious or that you typically avoid.

At Tranquility, we believe in using evidence-based approaches to help our clients with their anxiety.
CBT has withstood decades of rigorous scientific research, and the studies show that it is one of the most effective treatments for anxiety. It is also an effective treatment for other problems such as: depression, chronic pain, eating disorders, anger issues, addiction and low self-esteem.
Lastly, CBT has shown to be just as effective online as person-to-person CBT (link).
Is Tranquility Online for everyone?
Tranquility Online is not necessarily appropriate for everyone.
How long will I have to use Tranquility?
Tranquility’s anxiety program has 9 modules, with each module taking approximately 30-45 minutes to complete. We recommend spending at least a week in-between modules to reflect on the material and complete the associated activities that are presented in each session. Tranquility has been designed so that each client can complete the program at their own pace.
How do I access Tranquility’s modules & exercises?
Currently, for the best experience, we suggest completing the educational modules on a desktop, laptop or tablet, as it will be most convenient to take in the information on a larger screen. With regards to the exercises, we’ve optimized our mobile experience so that you can access our exercise tools on our mobile companion app on your smartphone.
What are the qualifications of my coach?
Tranquility’s coaches are not registered therapist or social workers. Tranquility’s coaches are empathetic listeners who are trained specifically to help you stay motivated to help you achieve your goals.
How do I interact with my coach?
Your coach is available through several modes of communication including: webcam, phone, email and/or in-app messaging. You will have the opportunity to book one 30-minute phone or webcam appointment with your coach each week.
How secure is my data?

Tranquility costs $99/mo (or $249 for 3 months).
Do I need to offer up my credit card information to sign-up for the 7-day free trial?
No. Once you sign-up for Tranquility, you will have a 7-day risk-free trial with no obligations. After 7 days have passed, you’ll be asked to upgrade to a premium subscription costing $99/mo (or $249 for your first 3 months).
What if I no longer want to use Tranquility?
You can cancel your account at any time.
What if I’m not satisfied with Tranquility?
Tranquility’s team is dedicated to keep our clients satisfied. With that said, if at any point you are not satisfied with our program, you can cancel your subscription and request that we reimburse your last monthly payment.
